Eascom was engaged by a consortium between Kane Construction and Fairbrother Construction to deliver the electrical works for stage 2 of the Malmsbury Youth Justice Centre construction project.
The expansion will included 32 additional secure bedrooms, additional recreational & educational facilities, secure double perimeter fence with a sterile zone, expansion of the gatehouse.
An operational facility during construction – Eascom were able to deliver an extensive package of works within a tight timeframe. Eascom collaborated closely with all stakeholders including prison staff for critical shut downs to ensure there was no disruption to prison operations. Eascom were successful in delivering the full extent of the electrical scope, according to project program and to budget.
Construction was completed in June 2019 and the new construction enables Malmsbury Youth Justice Centre continues to be regarded as an integral piece of infrastructure for the Victoria Corrections.
